Les propriétaires de cette maison étaient très attachés à leur quartier qui propose une belle qualité de vie, tout en étant proche des commerces, de l’école de leurs enfants et de leurs lieux de travail. Ne souhaitant pas déménager, ils ont contacté un architecte de Créateurs d’intérieur pour envisager un projet d’extension.
Au regard de la taille du terrain, de l’implantation de la maison et de l'aménagement actuel des combles, l’architecte a rapidement proposé une surélévation partielle.
Soucieux du choix des matériaux, les propriétaires et l’architecte ont privilégié une structure en bois pour la surélévation. Cette ossature bois permet de respecter l’équilibre architectural d’un bâtiment initialement construit en brique et bois, tout en évitant d’ajouter du béton.
Dans une démarche cohérente, les matériaux en contact avec l’extérieur sont en zinc pour l’habillage et en aluminium pour les menuiseries, ce qui permet d’allier durabilité et esthétique contemporaine.
The owners of this house were deeply attached to their neighborhood, which offers a high quality of life while remaining close to shops, their children’s school, and their workplaces. Not wishing to move, they contacted an architect from Créateurs d’Intérieur to explore an extension project.
Considering the size of the plot, the position of the house, and the existing layout of the attic, the architect quickly proposed a partial vertical extension.
Attentive to the choice of materials, the owners and the architect opted for a timber structure for the extension. This timber frame respects the architectural balance of a building originally constructed with brick and wood, while avoiding the addition of concrete.
As part of a coherent approach, the materials exposed to the exterior are in zinc for the cladding and aluminum for the joinery, combining durability with a contemporary aesthetic.
